City Walls around Pisa Tuscany

The ancient city walls that surround the Tuscan city of Pisa were built centuries ago to protect the city state from invaders.

There are several city gates that pass through the walls.  The gate shown below (Porta Leone City Gates) connects Piazza Manin to the Field of Miracles.
